Market Mayhem, national youth arts week!

Portrait Art workshop @ Bluenose Academy Home of the Seahawks
Thanks to the Bluenose Academy for having the artists in residence visit the grade 7 and 8 visual art classes. This Tuesday Craig and Hangama created a “Portrait Art” workshop for Grade 7. Students paired up and used transparency sheets to trace each others faces, in an energetic workshop full of creativity and laughs.
It was an unfailingly fun and accurate art project. Each student had the chance to draw three people, then they chose their favourite drawing and coloured the portrait using different colours that represented their identities.
